高齢者の娯楽とIT
高齢化社会と言われ、少子化と言われる社会において、
福祉や医療関係のビジネスにスポットが当たっている。
ITの世界でも、これらをターゲットにしたビジネスが多いが、
どうも、高齢者＝弱者という発想から、手助けする道具とか、
介護の道具を作ることばかりが多い。しかし、実際は、
お元気なお年寄りが多いのである。
携帯電話でメールが使えるようになったときに、文字数が
少ないということがあったのだが、逆にこの文字数が少ない、
画面に表示される文字が少ないという”メリット”を活かして、
ネット句会が広まった。５・７・５の１７文字で表現する俳句
には、ぴったりな道具になったのである。
しかも、今までは、葉書や封書で送って、しかも、それを掲載
した冊子を作り、それを送るにもコストがかかるのだが、ITの
力を使うと、出かけた先で、家の中で、電車の中と、どこに
いても、ふと思いついた一句をメールで送ることができ、
しかも、それをメールやホームページに掲載することで、
すぐにも見ることができる。
さらに、俳句を送るということで、急いでメールを打つことも
なく、ゆっくり文字を打ち込んでもかまわない。いろいろな人が
参加できるようになったのである。
インターネットでの将棋や囲碁もさまざまなものが多いが、
まだまだパソコンに慣れていない人には優しいとは言えない。
これらも、技術を駆使すれば、パソコンなど気にしないで
使うようにできる。
例えば、液晶画面での将棋台を作りタッチパネルを入れ込めば、
指で操作することも可能であり、さらに、将棋の駒にICタグを
埋め込んで、それをセンサーで感知すれば、自分の駒は、手で
動かすこともできる。（さすがに相手の駒を動かすのは難しいが...）
そして、テレビ電話を使って、相手の顔を見ながら、会話を
しながら打つこともできるだけでなく、”野次馬”も小さな画面で
表示して、”あー、そんなところに打っちゃったよ！”、
”おいおい、それ、取れよ！”などと声も聞こえれば、さらに
”臨場感”も増す。まさに、一昔前の家の前に縁台を出して、
近所の親父連中が将棋を打っている風景をインターネットで再現
できるのである。
また、お年寄りの中には、自分の経験してきたことを人に教え
たいとか、役立てたいと思っている方も多い。なにも遊ぶだけ
ではなく、役立っているという満足感を得られるという楽しみも
あるのである。インターフェイスを工夫する必要はあるが、
テレビ電話のようなものをゲームセンターなどに設置して、
お年寄りには家にいてもらって、電話がかかってきたら、それに
答えるなど、いろいろなことが考えられる。こんな人生相談が
あってもいいのではないだろうか？ さらに、応用すれば、方言
教室などもできるようになるのだ。
考え出すと、実に、いろいろな方法があり、今すぐにでも実現
できることも沢山ある。また、それをボランティアで考えるの
ではなく、ビジネスとして動かすことも可能なのである。いや、
ビジネスベースに考えていかないと、ボランティアでは、すぐに
崩壊する。
こんな視点で高齢者の娯楽を考えていくと、ITビジネスの
チャンスがいろいろあると思っているのだが、いかがだろうか？
