ホームページにはなんでもかんでも情報を載せる？？
ホームページを何のために立ち上げているのか？と企業の担当者に
聞くと、”そりゃ、商品を売るためですよ！”という回答が返って
くるのは当たり前だ。しかし、本当に、それを目的にホームページで
情報を出しているのだろうか？ ホームページになんでもかんでも
情報を載せればいいというものでもないし、少ないのもよくない。
果たして、どんな情報がいいのだろうか？ その点について考えて
みよう。
まず、扱っている商材をじっくりと検証し、何の為にホームページに
アクセスしてくるのかをしっかりと見極めなければならない。まさか、
車や一戸建ての家をオンラインショップで販売しても、購入してくれる
人などいないだろうし、逆に、書籍や音楽CDをホームページで紹介して
おいて、購入は店頭まで来てくださいっていうのは、意味が無い。
商材によって、どこまでを顧客に対応してもらうのかを考えないと
いけない。
そして、その切り分けができたら、いよいよ、どんな情報を掲載するか？
である。一般的には、
・会社案内
・商品やサービスの説明
・問い合わせ先
といったところになる。しかし、ここで、自分が買う側に立った場合、
まずは、何を見るか？である。言うまでもなく、商品であり、サービス
なのだ。そこに関する情報が一番多くなければ意味が無い。極端な話を
すると、会社案内など簡単なページにしておいて、商品やサービスの
説明の中で、会社の歴史や、社長のこだわりを書き込むという手段も
検討すべきだ。
今のように物があふれる中では、商品やサービスの中に秘められた
”物語”を消費者は求めている。広告などでは、十分に語りつくせない
ところをホームページでは、社長の熱い思いや、開発者の開発に掛けた
心意気、また、営業が、どれだけその商品に惚れ込んでいるかという
”物語”を提供するのである。
また、気をつけないといけないのは、商品やサービスに関わりすぎて
いると、顧客の視点を忘れ、世間には知られていない用語や使い方が
十分に説明できなくなってしまうことである。例えば、日本酒は、米を
発酵させたものというのは、誰もが知っているが、甘口や辛口というのは、
何が違っていて、そういう味の差がでるのかとか、冷と燗では、何が
違っているのかなど、そこまでちゃんと説明できる人は少ない。逆に、
そういう”ウンチク”をホームページに書いておくと、酒好きには堪らない
ホームページになるだろう。リホーム関連なら、夏場の家の手入れとか、
大掃除のときのちょっとしたコツなどを掲載していると、”信用できる
リホーム屋さんだな”ということになる。
商品説明の性能や、仕様、使い方を説明するのは当たり前だが、自分
たちは知っていて当たり前すぎて、そんなの価値のある情報なのか？と
思うようなことが、実は顧客にはすごく必要な情報だったりするものだ。
分からなければ、家族やまったく違う業界の知人に聞いてみればいい。
意外なことが知られていなかったりするのである。
中学生や高校生に教えるようなつもりで、細かくいろいろな情報発信を
するようになれば、多くのファンが寄ってくるようになるだろう。
