ブログよ、お前もか.....
今回は、よく分からないタイトルになってしまったが、ブログが
広告だらけになるのではないかと気になっている。このメルマガでも
書いたが、ブログというWeb形式の日記は、すさまじい勢いで広がって
いる。それはそれで、面白いことなのだが、その一方で、いろんな人が
コメントをつけることができるという点で、ちょっと問題があるのかも
しれない。筆者がすでに体験していることを書いてみよう。
ブログを簡単におさらいすると、インターネット上にあるWeb形式の
日記である。そして、面白いのは、それを読んだ人がコメントを付けたり、
トラックバックといって、他の人の日記とリンクして関連付けられるのが
面白いのだ。だから、同じような趣味を持った人とつながりやすい。
それは、それで新たなコミュニティを形成するという実にインターネット
的な使われ方をしている。
筆者は、新しいもの好きなので、すぐにいろいろと使ってみるのだが、
ブログもまだ英語しかなかった頃に知人に紹介されて使ってみた。忙しく
なってしまったのと、あまり見る人もいなかったこともあって、昨年、
作ったものをそのまま放置している状態だった。
ところが、この数週間前から、やたらとコメントがつくのである。
しかも、何の関係もない内容で書かれるコメントがつくのである。
明らかにプログラムを組んで、自動的に同じコメントを埋め込んでいる
のだろう。そして、そのコメントの内容は、予想できる通り、広告の
コメントで、そのサイトへのリンクが埋め込まれているのだ。
メールで、ダイレクトメール（迷惑メール）が届くのは読者もご存知
だろうが、広告コメントが付くとは思いもしなかった。確かに、誰でも
書きこめる設定をしている場合は、掲示板と同じなので、広告をコメント
できるのだ。そして、ブログの設定によっては、メールでコメントが
ついたことを通知するようになっているので、ちゃんと広告メールとして
日記を書いている人に届いてしまうのである。実に巧妙なやり方だ。
今のところ英語のコメントしかないので、日本語の広告コメントは
出てきていないようだが、それも時間の問題だろう。そして、そうなって
くると、ブログを使う人たちも減ってしまうのかもしれない。あるいは、
コメント禁止にしてしまったり、SNSのように会員制にして、特定ユーザ
にしか見せないようなブログにしてしまうなど、開放的なコミュニティが
少なくなるような気がする。
メールアドレスを知らせるのを嫌がるように、ブログを作っている
こともあまり人に知らせないといような変な方向へ進んでしまうのか？
それとも、ブログ運用者からすると、自社のサイトで、勝手に広告媒体と
して使われることに嫌気がさして、サービス停止へと向かうのか、それは、
まだ分からない。
SNSで勢いをつけているmixiにしても、一気にユーザが増えているので、
持てるコミュニティに制限をつけつつあるし、いろいろな制限をつける
ような状態になるのだろう。ブログよ、おまえもか... といった状態に
ならないように願いたい。
