ホームページは、情報が多いほど売れる？
先日、とある中小企業の社長と話をした。その中で、
「いや～、ある本とかを読むとホームページには、できるだけ
沢山の情報が載っていないと駄目だって書かれていて、うちの
ような企業だと、書くよりも写真１枚載せて終わりなんで、
どうにもならないんですよね.....」と嘆いておられた。筆者は、
内心『またか...ここにも犠牲者がいる...』と思いながら、話を
続けた。ホームページが道具であることを忘れると、いろんな
言葉に振舞わされる。ホームページは本当に情報が多いほど
売れるのだろうか？？
世の中では、『情報商材』ってのが、流行り始めた。それ
自体は、すごく面白い試みであり、筆者も密かに狙っている（笑）。
それらのサイトをみると、これでもかというほど情報が大量に
記述され、また、無料レポートやミニ・メルマガ講座など、
とにかくここまでよく情報を出せるなぁと思うほどのサイトが多い。
また、そういうサイトほどよく売れているという事実もある
（月額数千万を売っている人もいる）。
そういうサイトを見ていると、確かに、いろいろなノウハウや
無料レポートを出すことで売り上げを伸ばすということがいえるし、
また、結果が出ている。だったら、うちのホームページも沢山の
情報を出すことで売り上げアップを！！て思いたくなるのは当然
だろう。
が.... ちょっと待ってもらいたい。なぜ、情報商材では、
大量の情報を出すことで売れるのだろうか？ それは、売っている
ものが『情報』だからである。形があっても、CDとか、マニュアル
だけなのだ。その中で、まったく見たこともない人からお金を
頂いて買ってもらうということなのだから、どうやって信用を
作るか？が課題になるのだ。そして、この手の情報商材は、書籍や
DVD、音楽CDと同じように『返品』ってのが、非常に厳しい。
ようするに、中を利用された（極端に言えばコピーされた）か
どうかなど分からないからだ。パソコンのソフトウェアと同じく
開封後は返品に応じませんということしか言えなくなってしまう。
だからこそ、どれだけ信用してもらうかが重要なのである。
物として存在する衣類だとか、台所用品、あるいは、パソコンの
パーツなどは、物の写真が重要であり、大きさなどのスペックを
きっちりと明記することが大事で、無料レポートとか、大量の
情報を提示する前にやるべきことがある。それを無理やりに情報が
多いほどいいということで、肝心の部分をぼやかしてしまって、
他の情報を充実させても、それは、便利サイトになるだけで、
肝心の物販がおろそかになってしまう。
他の人がこういったからとか、売れているサイトがこうだから
ということではなく、自分のビジネスの土俵の中では、どうなのか？
ということをしっかりと考えないと、それこそ『大量の情報』に
翻弄されるだけである。
自社の商品・サービスは、誰に対して、何を示さないといけない
のか？そして、いかに信用されるか？を考えてホームページを
考えてもらいたい。
